             Scoutmaster Troop 214

Congratulations to Mike Fuller on receiving the Silver Beaver award, the highest award a volunteer can receive in Scouting.  The ceremony will be at the Council dinner on January 28th.

The Troop has a JLT lock-in at the church 16-17.  Six Scouts participated and four adults assisted.  The Scouts had a great time working on teamwork skills and problem solving.  Thanks to Mike Fuller for helping me run the training.

Kent has distributed 11 popcorn packets to Pack 214 and 4 to Pack 2.

Safety Agreement:

ALL PARENTS AND SCOUTS ARE REQUIRED TO READ AND SIGN THE TROOP "SAFETY AGREEMENT" each year.  It must be turned in to Mike McKain, Scout Master, before any Scout may attend any campout after January 1st of the current year.  (A copy of this form is located on the resources page of this web site).

This Safety Agreement is put into effect so that Parents and Scouts understand what will happen with discipline problems at Scout meetings and campouts.  Parents are required to furnish a phone number where they can be reached or a phone number of someone responsible for their Scout in case of emergency.  SCOUTS, MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR FORM IN NOW !

Rod's Canada trip journal:

Rod Franz's Canada trek took place in 2002 and Rod did an excellent job of keeping a day by day journal.  A huge thanks goes out to Rod for sharing his work.  Thanks Rod !
